Dr Maryam Shamassi MD

Dr Maryam Shamassi graduated from medical school in 2005. She has worked in numerous departments and emergency rooms. During the past three years she has worked at the Mt Gravatt Medical Centre in Brisbane and has also worked for the Queensland Department of Health.

Dr Shamassi’s areas of interest include women’s health, preventative health and skin health. Prior to developing her GP expertise, Dr Shamassi built a career in medical research and teaching at the University of Queensland. Dr Shamassi loves to travel and enjoys sports and music.

Dr Meththa Muniratna

Dr Meththa Muniratna has over 33 years experience in General Practice. Dr Muniratna graduated from medical school in 1966 and began specializing in General Practice in 1978 in Smith St, Fitzroy. Dr Muniratna ran a popular and busy solo practice for many years before joining a group practice in the local area. Dr Muniratna is a dedicated and professional GP who has a great understanding of the local community and has been actively involved in promoting quality health care across all ages throughout her impressive career.

Dr Muniratna’s special health interests include women’s health and geriatric care. She loves to travel and also takes great pleasure in spending time with her family, reading and meditating.
